Policies


These policies are in place to protect both the members and trainers at Empowered for life (EFL).

EFL understands that on occasions life gets in the way. In particular for parents, the Health of our children needs to take priority. Occasionally your scheduled appointment may have to be cancelled or re-scheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Exceptions to the following policies may apply during extreme circumstances and at the discretion of EFL.

Cancellations

It is imperative you notify EFL immediately when you learn you cannot attend your scheduled booking.

Twenty four (24) hours notice is required to cancel your Personal Training session without incurring any cancellation fees. Should you cancel your Personal Training session within the 24hrs period a $15 fee will apply.

5 hours notice is required to cancel a Semi-PT or group fitness booking without incurring any cancellation fees. Should you cancel your Semi-PT or Group fitness session within the 24hr period a $5 fee will apply.

No Shows

No-shows will incur a cancellation fee to the value of the session.

Make-up sessions

No more than 2 makeup sessions for personal training and 3 makeup sessions for Semi-PT and group fitness can be accrued.

Make-up sessions will expire after one month. It is your responsibility to reschedule a makeup session within the allocated time.

Permanent and paid session take priority over makeup sessions.

Once a makeup session has been scheduled it cannot be re-scheduled unless in the event that make a makeup session has been scheduled and the class becomes full the makeup session will be rescheduled mutually.

Unused Sessions

When you pay for your EFL services by direct debit, you are in fact placing yourself in credit for how ever number of sessions you usually perform during the period of the direct debit until such time as another direct debit payment is made. Subject to the refunds and cancelation clauses, no refunds shall be made for any unused sessions further to which payments will not be placed on hold in lieu of make-up sessions.

When you pay for your EFL services in a lump sum, you are in fact placing yourself in credit for a large number of sessions. Subject to the refunds and cancelation clauses, no refunds shall be made for any unused sessions.

Payments

Payments are processed through Ezidebit via the mindbody system from either your credit card or nominated bank account. Payments are scheduled fortnightly on Friday’s and are deposited into the EFL bank account approximately 4 working day’s later.

This places you in credit for your nominated number of sessions per fortnight.

Ezidebit charge a fee for their services, this fee is retained by Ezidebit and is not collected by EFL.

Ezidebit Fee’s are as follows.

Administration Fee: (once only) $2.20
Transaction Fee: (per fortnightly transaction)
Bank Account: $0.99
Credit Card:
Visa / Mastercard 2.2% (min $0.99)
AMEX / Diners – 4.4% (min $0.99)

10 packs can be purchased in advance by cash or direct transfer into the EFL bank account.

Cooling Off Policy

If you advise EFL by notice in writing within 48 hours of signing any direct debit form or agreement that you do not wish to receive the product, event or service, this agreement will end and EFL will refund to you all monies you have paid to EFL under this agreement

Refunds & Cancellations

If, after the expiration of the cooling off period but prior to the ending of the period of the 10 week minimum commitment, you wish to end this contract, then you must notify EFL in writing by giving at least 30 days notice.

This contract will remain in force beyond the minimum commitment period until such time as either you or EFL end it by providing the other party with 30 days written notice of their intention to end it.

Once notice has been received by the other party, any unused services will need to be used and will not be refunded. EFL does not give refunds if you simply change your mind.

EFL shall have no further liability to you in respect of the cancelation.

Direct Debits will not be placed on hold to recover missed / make up sessions.

Public Holiday’s

EFL is under no obligation to open on a public holiday.

It is up to the discression of your EFL trainer if they choose to run sessions on Public Holiday’s.

If your regular session times falls on a public holiday when sessions will not be run you will be credited with a makeup session.
